repaired broken website

The website is up now.

Seems that the site was was timing out downloading certain images which caused delays and timeouts when the site registered a hit. The problem was even more extensive after the move the website had after the router was upgraded at my location. A change in the URLs had to be made and the site is up again (externally). The URLs worked locally  for me all along and it was only Greg L that indicated that I had a broken website. My thanks to Greg L for being my external tester!

It’s a good thing that no one is paying for this service 🙂

Cheers,

Finished ride September 2017 (kind of!)

The ride that Ken and I took last year is finally chronicled on my website. I not saying that the content won’t change but most of it is there.

It took a lot longer than I had planned but I overcame my lack of skills as a webmaster. Your feedback is welcomed. If you have content which doesn’t have a place to live in the cyber world and that we might find interesting or amusing, contact me.

About 3 months to go

Three months, that’s how long until the roads are dry and free from the vestige of winter. I know the tough guys will say different but I DON’T HAVE TO dress warm and avoid the piles of sand, gravel and I-dont-even-know-what it is they put on our roads. I just want to get on my bike and go!

I was looking at a map and I figured every 500 km closer to the equator I could add a month to riding. About 3000 km would put me in the southern United States,  maybe if I move to San Diego no one will notice! I always liked the way the Americans used to build roads, not the Interstates but the crooked ones through the mountains and following rivers.

But somebody will probably notice that I’m gone and I will feel obligated to stay. I guess I’m better off with a proper suit to add a month to either end. Only two months to go!

Refinements to BAMFMC

The basic site is now online again. I am going to continue to add pictures and posts to the content to keep it close to current and make a few tweaks. I encourage you to look and prod, find things that don’t work and maybe things you might like. Think of it like a collective hold for snapshots and video BAMFMC related. Email your photos and ideas to me. Greg G.
